Meet Our President:

Colinda Howard

Colinda Howard blends sharp intellect with practical, hands-on experience. Colinda's extensive background as a senior compliance leader, adjunct professor, and professional trainer reflects her unwavering dedication to risk mitigation.

Colinda's journey began at North Carolina Central University (NCCU), where she distinguished herself as an INROADS IBM collegiate intern, harnessing her skills in mathematics and computer science to design cutting-edge coding and analytics test cases. She further sharpened her expertise at Case Western Reserve’s School of Law, gaining hands-on experience with Cleveland’s Legal Aid Society. During her time as a summer law clerk under North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services, she drafted statewide regulatory audit standards for bars, health centers, and other  public health regulated entities.

As a licensed attorney in North Carolina, Colinda's legal practice spanned consumer bankruptcy, real estate, and criminal defense. She then transitioned into the role of General Counsel for a private mortgage and construction firm. Her career took a significant turn when she joined the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), where she led high-stakes investigations into unfair housing practices, discrimination, inaccessibility, and predatory lending fraud against major housing providers and retailers.

Colinda’s trajectory continued as an HR Employee Relations Officer for a large school district, the Atlanta Public Schools where she was responsible for upholding strict compliance with employment, education, and student protection regulations. Her deep expertise in organizational integrity and compliance excellence led her to Walmart Inc., where she served as a compliance auditor in the New York tri-state area. Here, she spearheaded strategic initiatives for U.S. Compliance operations and managed the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) compliance program for over 3,500 stores.

Colinda's leadership in compliance was further solidified at Houston’s DISA Global Solutions, where she served as Senior Director of Ethics and Compliance, overseeing drug and alcohol testing compliance for more than 8,000 corporations regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and other authorities. She played a key role in establishing an enterprise-wide compliance and business continuity framework. Her expertise continued at Amazon Inc., where she led a team responsible for commercial motor vehicle risk assessments, DOT on-road driver violations, appeals management, and the oversight of disciplinary metrics for all third-party Delivery Service Partners (DSPs).

Her impressive career makes her a formidable  risk governance and compliance strategist. She is the trusted partner that entities need to navigate the complexities of today's business environment.
